(Response to Mom's email)
Well I had just had to put the key indicator numbers in the system for the entire mission (4 numbers for each of 95 areas, pretty sweet) and now I'm waitin on Elder Cummings to finish some financial stuff so I'm here in the offices for a sec. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING ALL THAT STUFF MOM :) I know it's hard with those darn migraines, take rests when you need to. I'm wondering if the humidity here in Bolivia is helping me with regards to migraines, because I have yet to have one. Maybe you ought to hit up Florida for a solid month to see if there are any changes. So much fun stuff has happened in these past days we've just been inside for carnaval! Elder Montoya from the quorum of the 70 is visiting our mission tomorrow and we found out his wife will come inspect our house so my companion and the 2 other secretaries in our house FINALLY got way pumped to clean, sand, and paint our entire inside of our house.... we got special permission to work outside of the carnaval schedule that everyone else has! It's taken 2 days! We've literally worked nonstop for 12 hours, 2 days in a row. 12 hrs x 2 days = 24 hrs. Then 24 hrs x 4 ppl = 96 hrs of work put into sanding all the walls and peeling humidity damaged paint off, putting putty on holes, sweeping, brushing dust off, painting with 2 rollers and a brush for the corners, around appliances and door frames (no masking tape), moving furniture and things, cleaning, mixing paint, 2nd coat, reorganizing everything, sweeping, dusting, mopping, shining doors, wooden and leather furniture, cleaning dishes, organizing and throwing stuff away, cleaning bathrooms, rooms, and more, window washing, and so much more. haha it's actually been really fun. We just blasted music and were laughing, had lunch brought to us and we got some good snacks a few days ago to hold us over, I'm hoping today will be more studies and relaxing. I FINALLY GOT THE THORN OUT OF MY ARM! I think I already told you, but there's been a thorn in my arm since like September in Tarija when i did a service project and a big nail sized thorn stabbed into my forearm, left a hole, healed over, and left a little bump where the tip of the thorn stayed. I didn't realize til recently that my body was working the thing out on it's own and raised it from deep down in my arm to just below the skin. I think the thorn killed off the nerves in my arm a lil because I didn't use any anesthesia or anything. My comp, Élder Góngora grabbed my professional tweezers, and after like 2 or 3 attempts, he grabbed the thing, and pulled it out! SOOOOOO GNNNNAAAAARRRRR! It's like a cm long! I wrapped it in tape and put it in my journal. Such a relief. I threw some neosporin on and it's healin up nice now. So anyways, that's good news! I love you guys so much!
